Which is the best decking paint I can buy in the UK?

How long before I can walk on the deck after painting?

At 20 °C and good airflow, surfaces are touch-dry in 1 hour and ready for light foot traffic after 4 hours. Leave 24 hours before placing furniture or plant pots.

Is the finish truly non-slip when it’s wet?

The built-in micro-aggregate delivers a durable anti-slip profile. Lab tests to BS 7976 show wet PTV scores well above the HSE’s “low-slip-risk” threshold.

Can I use a clear product to seal but keep the natural colour?

Absolutely—our Clear Decking Sealer penetrates deeply, leaves no visible sheen and provides water beading for up to two seasons before a quick maintenance coat.

How do I prep a deck that’s already been oiled?

Degrease with our Wood Cleaner, abrade with 80-grit to open the grain, rinse, let dry, then apply two coats of Decking Paint. Adhesion tests show >4 MPa pull-off strength on properly prepped, previously oiled boards.
