FAQs

What temperature can your Heat Resistant Paint withstand?

Our enamel has been laboratory-proven to tolerate intermittent exposure up to 600 °C, ideal for fire boxes, flues and exhaust manifolds.

Do I need a separate primer before applying Heat Resistant Paint?

No. Once steel is degreased and rust-free, the coating can be applied direct to metal, saving time and cost.

How do I cure the paint for maximum performance?

After it’s touch-dry, slowly heat the coating above 220 °C for 20–30 minutes. This bake fully crosslinks the film for long-term hardness and solvent resistance

Is it suitable as Stove Paint or BBQ Paint?

Yes—once cured, the satin finish resists regular firing, cooking greases and cleaning solvents, keeping stoves and BBQ lids looking sharp.

Can I spray the paint as well as brush or roll?

The formulation is optimised for brush or roller; if you prefer spraying, thin up to 5 % with the recommended solvent for smooth atomisation.

Which is the best high heat resistant paint I can buy in the UK?

For high-heat surfaces, this Heat Resistant Paint is top of its class; pair it with our Flame-Retardant or Anti-Graffiti ranges for a full-spec, multi-threat protection system.
