Without the Foundation Base Coat, the luminous paint will not achieve its full glow performance.

The pure white, matt finish of the Foundation Base Coat maximises the reflectivity of the surface, allowing the luminous pigments in Coo-Var Luminous Paint to absorb and store light energy more effectively and produce a brighter, longer-lasting afterglow. On porous surfaces, two coats of Foundation Base may be required to achieve a fully opaque white base before applying the luminous paint.

Surface Preparation

Wood
• New wood should be sanded before coating to ensure an adequate key

• Porous masonry may require 2 coats of Foundation Base Coat before applying Luminous Paint

Metal

Application

1. Mix well before use

6. If thinning is required, thin with clean water at a maximum of 10%
7. Clean brushes and trays immediately after use with water

Drying Times (at 20°C)

• Touch dry: 30 minutes
• Hard dry: 2 hours
• Full hardness: 5–7 days
