Acid Etch removes Laitance and Salts from Concrete

Acid Etch is used to clean and "etch” floors and pools prior to painting. Removes "laitance” and salts from concrete and render. Must be used on exceptionally smooth surfaces such as power floated concrete floors - this will help the coating get a good hold of the surface. This is essential for good adhesion of paint. Remember to wear protective gloves, glasses and boots.

Acid Etch is a careful blend of acids and wetting agents in solution. Will fizz when poured onto the concrete – this turns the acid into a Ph neutral liquid which is safe to rinse down drains. Let the surface dry before painting.

You will need to combine Acid Etch with water (one part Acid Etch to 3 parts water). Therefore a 5L pack will give 20L of mixed solution.
