Recommended coats

• A minimum of 3 coats is recommended to ensure an even distribution of the aggregate and consistent grip.

• For a 3m² climbing wall area you will need roughly 0.3–0.38L per coat
• For 3 coats, you will need approximately 0.9–1.13L in total

Practical coverage may be lower depending on surface porosity, texture, and application method.

Surface Preparation

• Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, sound, and free from grease or contaminants
• Lightly sand wood and GRP surfaces to promote adhesion
• Existing painted surfaces should be cleaned, degreased, and sanded to provide a good key
• Remove all loose or flaking material and treat bare areas as new substrate
• Ensure surface and air temperature is above 7°C
• Provide adequate ventilation during application and drying

Application

• Mix well before use if required
• Apply using a brush or short-pile roller
• Do not thin
• Apply a minimum of 3 coats to ensure an even distribution of the aggregate
• Allow 6 hours between coats at 20°C
• Avoid applying too thickly, as this can slow drying and impair performance

Drying & Curing

• Touch dry: approximately 1.5 hours at 20°C
• Hard dry: approximately 6 hours at 20°C
• Full hardness achieved after 3–5 days
