1. What is Teamac Bituminous Paint Used For?

Used to create a waterproof, weatherproof, and corrosion-resistant coating, exhibiting resistance to low levels of alkalis and acids, and can withstand prolonged oxidation. Making it suitable for gutters, fence posts, raised boarders, tanks, garden buildings, cladding and more.

2. Can I use black bitumen paint on wood?

Yes, it's ideal for outdoor timber. It seals out moisture, prevents rot, and extends the life of sheds, fences, and other wooden structures.

3. Can I paint over bituminous paint

No, we do not recommend painting over bitumen paint with anything other than bitumen paint.

4. Is black bitumen paint waterproof?

bsolutely—bitumen paint creates a highly water-resistant barrier that protects surfaces from rain, damp, and general weathering.

5. Is black bitumen paint safe to use on garden planters or raised beds?

Yes, however the product is not classed as food safe so should not be used where plants are grown for human consumption.

6. What coverage can I expect?

Coverage is approximately 12 m² per litre, depending on the wood’s porosity. More porous timbers may require additional product for complete protection.
